My current project that I am working on is titled "Sundown for Bougainville Corsairs."

The scene is set in the years between 1943 and 1944 with Ace Lt. JG. Ira Kepford's famous #29 F4U-1A Corsair.

'He won his first Distinguished Flying Cross for an aerial battle over the Solomon Islands, his squadron confronted 100 enemy aircraft. The citation read: ``In the ensuing attack, Ens. Kepford pressed his attack with such determination that he succeeded in destroying four enemy bombing planes and severely damaged another. He repeatedly went down through anti-aircraft fire to press his attack to completion. He also participated in 48 other combat missions, six of which were opposed by intense and accurate anti-aircraft fire.'

He had shot down a total of 16 enemy aircraft, the highest number of any ace in the U.S. Navy, when he returned home to a hero`s welcome in 1944.

Bon cette fois ci, je peux enfin dire que je vois la lumière au bout du tunnel....presque rattrapé entièrement mon retard côté paperasse...lire impôts....3 ans, un petit voyage en arrière, il reste encore le fédéral, mais ce sera fait au cours de cette longue fin-de-semaine, fait du ménage de paperasse, retrouvé des parties de mon appart dont j'avais oublié l'existence...le nouvel ordi est arrivé, pas installé, aussi du me battre pour garder le vieil ordi en état.....donc avant de faire tout cela , je voulais au moins prendre le temps d'écrire un ou deux articles...probablement que l'installation se fera sans histoires, mais vaut mieux prévenir que guérir....:), donc préparer les sauvegardes, le mini-réseau que je dois faire...tout ira comme sur des roulettes c'est sûr....:))

Hopefully, this one is for good, almost done with the paper work, of the last three years....income tax done, at least provincial, still have to take care of the fed's...should be done by monday....the new computer arrived, not installed yet, had to work on the old one, this one, did not lost anything...ouf....but before I do install the new one, which should go like a breeze...but just in case, did want to publish something, and back up and prepare a few things....

Donc quant à la peinture, et bien une nouvelle version de Kristen, que j'ai décidé voilà quelques semaines de continuer à l'huile...donc petit flottement.....je ne sais pas si c'est la pause, un peu plus longue que prévu, mais lorsque je me suis mis à peindre, hier soir, c'était plus élancé, donc sans tout refaire, j'y ai été avec un peu moins de précautions que je ne l'aurais fait normalement...pense que c'est bien, mais il y aura une période de 'retouches' assez nombreuses je crois....

Now back to painting, Kristen, a few weeks ago decided to go from acrylic to oil, usually there is a 'floating' period, where I'm kind of taking steps back...it  did happened, but I like the way it is going, don't know if it is the more longer than expected unwanted break...but I did work more loosely than I'm used to, I think it is coming good, still need lot of repainting, but I'm confiant it will be more than ok....:)
