"Serenity II" by Dale Jackson
Acrylic on stretched canvas (reused canvas from a discarded painting)
First I applied about 2 layers of acrylic gesso to cover over an old canvas print.
Then with ultramarine and brilliant blue, mixed with titanium white and a touch of mars black painted the background sky, with the lighter color gradient toward the bottom. The initial set of clouds is a mixture of a touch of marks black mixed with leftover blue from the sky. This is a work in progress.
note: I'm taking a slight break on my digital work of the Corsair to knock out some acrylic pieces.
